The situation
Seventeen job fairs across Kerala needed one platform that would not buckle on fair day.
A job fair is an unforgiving deadline. Candidates register in a rush, employers finalise vacancies late, and on the day itself organisers, employers and jobseekers all hit the system at once. The fair happens whether the software is ready or not.
The approach
Fair day is peak load by design, so we engineered for the spike, not the average. Registration, check-in and employer workflows were built to be at their simplest exactly when traffic was at its worst.
Just as important: one platform for all seventeen fairs, not seventeen one-off builds. Every fair that ran hardened the system for the next one. Same code, tuned by real days under real load.
What we built
Two front doors, one system underneath:
- A web application for organisers and employers: vacancy listings, candidate pipelines, interview slots and fair-day operations.
- A PWA for candidates, built for modest phones and patchy venue networks: registration, profiles and fair-day navigation.
- Candidate and vacancy matching, and check-in flows sized for queues, not demos.
The outcome
The platform ran employer and candidate management across all seventeen KKEM job fairs held across Kerala in 2021-22.
Seventeen hard deadlines, met with the same system. That consistency, more than any single fair, is the result we point to.
